Paxton works exclusively with estate-grown fruit from certified organic and biodynamic vineyards in McLaren Vale, with a clear emphasis on Shiraz in multiple expressions from juicy early-drinking reds to old-vine, single-vineyard bottlings. Grenache is another pillar, appearing both solo and in GSM-style blends that lean into the region’s Mediterranean climate.

The portfolio also includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and other Mediterranean reds, alongside fresh, textural whites such as Pinot Gris and a regional Rosé that carry the same minimal-intervention, fruit-first philosophy. Landcross Farm itself is a restored 1860s sheep property and former village site, where the original shearing shed now houses the cellar door, framed by lawns and historic stone buildings.

The core range offers a more accessible snapshot of the house style, including MV Shiraz, AAA Shiraz Grenache and a Cabernet Sauvignon that trade on bright, pure fruit, moderate structure and early drinkability. At the most approachable end, the NOW series – typified by NOW Shiraz – is crafted as an easy, juicy, “drink now” expression of McLaren Vale fruit, with minimal oak and a focus on vibrant aromatics.
