Aethos is somewhat the Italian equivalent to Soho House, uber cool space with a place to meet, chat and work, a smart restaurant and a hip bar. Then there is the accomodation 35 rooms that range from large suites to smaller rooms each featuring different themes, each unique with its own classic furnishings a massive king sized (very comfortable) bed and very high thread count sheets.
Tucked away in the canal district Navigli (the hip heart of Milan), Aethos Milano offers a sophisticated blend of modern luxury and timeless elegance. Each room is meticulously crafted to provide guests with a serene retreat from the bustling city, featuring sleek lines, rich textures, and state-of-the-art amenities.

Aethos Milan boasts an impressive array of rooms and suites, each designed with a keen eye for detail. Guests enjoy the spacious accommodations the classic furniture and the themes unique to each room. They have the now essential coffee machine and a smart gourmet mini bar.
EAT >
ZAÏA Restaurant: The house restaurant features modern Mediterranean flavours, serves are generous and it brings a mix of classic flavours with more traditional Milanese dishes.
The wine list has a good selection that will suit most palates we enjoyed a reasonably priced barolo (in perfect glassware) which was delightful with the rich pasta, burrata salad and excellent bread with quality olive oil.
SERVICE >
The service at Aethos Milan is excellent, perhaps it is due to the private members club that is a key part of the Aethos business model (just like Soho House but with out the strict rules!). Staff consistently go out of their way above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. From personalized check-in to attentive concierge services, every interaction is marked by warmth and professionalism.
DRINK >
The Doping Bar: This experiential cocktail bar is a highlight, offering masterfully crafted classics and exotic creations tailored to your mood. The cozy lounge feels like a second home, perfect for entertaining or being entertained.
The drinks are smart and the smart set roles in for drinks and a little party. In good news the rooms are well silenced and the noise does not leak up.
WORK >
Shared Work Space: Aethos Milan provides intimate corners for work and socialising, making it a fantastic spot for meetings or celebrations. The spaces can be booked for private events, offering a unique blend of work and leisure.
WORKOUT >
Gym: The fully equipped gym features Technogym machines and offers personal training sessions, yoga, Pilates, and sound healing classes. It’s a haven for fitness enthusiasts looking for a comprehensive workout experience.
VERDICT >
There are now seven Aethos hotels that range from Corsica to Umbria, Montarosa in the Italian Alps to Ericiera on Portugal’s surf coast.
There is no question that we loved our short stay at Aethos Milano and only have a couple of minor negative reflections, that some of the hotel common areas are starting to need a refresh. Carpet was bubbling up in the hallway and some areas look like they need a fresh coat of paint. But don’t let that be a negative its a truly unique space, one we really enjoyed.
