STAY > All Day Place, Tokyo

Located just off Meji Dori Avenue in Shibuya, the All Day Place Hotel is hidden away above a cafe / craft beer bar in a tower building. A simple place with rooms that are functional with smart design at a reasonable price.

SLEEP >

Rooms come with the usual Pyjamas, reusable Slippers (no thanks), quality ammenities (Shampoo, Conditioner, Hand & Body wash), Organic bamboo toothbrush, and Toothpaste paper (interesting). There is also a large safety box (not a safe), hair dryer, humidifier, and a large TV with screen mirroring.

It Tokyo so you know the rooms are not large and range from a ‘Double Room’ (¥18,000) which is only 12.2m2 (so you could not swing a cat) up to the generously named ‘Superior King’ at 21.2m2 (¥30,000 JPY per night)

EAT >

G-Rough does not have a restaurant but being just off the Piazza Navona there are so many excellent choices to select from. No matter if you feel like pizza on the piazza or degustation in a Michelin restaurant you will find lots of options.

WORK OUT >

No hotels in Tokyo don’t usually have gyms unless they are part of a large chain and the All Day Place is no exception but why not go for a run up through Shibuya to Yoyogi Park, there you will join other runners, dog walkers and people doing Tai Chi. For those who like to work out there are quite a few gyms in the neighbourhood including the renowned Golds Gym.

DRINK >

Its Shibuya there are more places to drink here than pages to write about them but don’t worry the super trendy Bar Mikkella is downstairs and INC bar is just around the corner.

Shibuya is home to bars, nightclubs, shops, parks, temples and shrines and fine restaurants. It is a city destination that offers a wealth of experiences from the chaos of the Shibuya Scramble and the hysterics of Tower Records. To the fine dining of Sushi-M and Restaurant JULIA. Shopping on Cat Street and Coffee at any of the smart places.

CONCLUSION >

All Day Place is in an excellent location with some fantastic ammenities all around you, the hotel rooms are clever in their use of space. Its no frills done well and for Tokyo its a reasonable room at a reasonable price.
