Ok so for some of us the the idea of rear entry boots is extremely 1980s retro and those memories were that the boots while easy to get on and off were sloppy and not good at providing control and delivering power to the ski edge. But recognising there was a good idea there, Nordica have brought the design back with technology from 2023 and now you can have comfort and control.
Pushing your feet into a stiff cold boot can be extremely uncomfortable, even painful and getting those tired feet out of the same boots at the end of the day can be just as bad (if not a little worse). THE HF BACK BUCKLE CLOSURE SYSTEM
The easy entry shell opens to 40 degrees so it is easy to slip your foot in or out and then one buckle to tighten at the back, so easy to close you don’t even need to use your hands! This buckle system is lightweight, sleek and well designed. The monolock buckle is extremely intuitive, all you need to do is push it down with your foot and you are ready to ski. At the end of your day, you can use your pole to snap open the back buckle while you remain standing, without having to bend over.
HEATED FEET
The HF Elite Heat model brings next level comfort with an integrated heated liner, keeping your feet toasty and happy. Happy feet means happy skiing and you can control the temperature of your boot using convenient application on your mobile phone.
3D CUSTOM CORK LINER
Natural cork provides effective dampening and thermal insulation for your heel, the liner itself is a fully custom fit so you don’t pinch the circulation or have uncomfortable rubbing but retain control and shock absorption.
The HF mechanically deals with the power transfer problems that previous back entry boots faced, achieved by a gusset in the front of the shin, which is a 2 cm gap in the shell that, when buckled, reduces the volume of the boot and wraps around your foot. And, in addition to the main rear buckle, which tightens the cuff and can be flipped up or down Hands Free with your foot or the tip of a ski pole, Nordica designed a buckle over the forefoot to keep your heel snugly where it belongs. (The 120 flex model also boasts a power strap.)
