We dropped in for a late lunch on a sunny Saturday, the restaurant buzzing with a mix of locals and tourists. The smell of the ocean and freshly cooked seafood greeted us as we were seated at a table overlooking the water. Our waiter, was quick to recommend the day’s specials and helped us navigate the wine list. A Claire riesling was the perfect complement to the fish and the sunny spring afternoon.

The fish and chips made with saw fish ($36) was delicious and a very generous serving. The pink ling ($41) was served with white asparagus, delicate and sweet. Sides of charred brocollini served with parmesan was a perfect complement.

VERDICT >

Sodafish has successfully carved out its niche in Lakes Entrance’s dining scene, offering a dining experience that is both unpretentious and high-quality. While the prices reflect the premium nature of fresh seafood, the overall experience – from the stunning views to the expertly prepared dishes – justifies the cost.
