Tucked into Piazza Cincinnato, Mama Rosa stands as a testament to Milan’s enduring culinary traditions. The decades-old establishment delivers sophisticated comfort in a setting that balances refinement with familial warmth.
One of the best known restaurants in Milan, Mamma Rosa has been in business for decades, originally as a salumeria and enoteca with a small restaurant attached. But its huge popularity forced it to concentrate on the restaurant where it serves large traditional style servings at reasonable prices. Notable are its risotto and pasta with seafood but beef and game are well represented. Guests are welcomed with complementary bruschetta and a glass of prosecco and farewelled with a limoncello. White tablecloths and attentive service, all at reasonable prices. We walked there from the huge Milan Central Station in just under ten minutes.
