DRINK > Bar INC, Shibuya

INC is only a few streets away from the chaos of downtown Shibuya but it is in a quiet district with only a few bars and restaurants in the otherwise residential neighbourhood.

Bar INC is a brand new (opened in Feb 2024) stylish underground oasis mixing smart cocktails with an excellent sound system. In the gloom, the slightly twenties deco decor feels appropriate (if a little forced) but the sound system is sensational and the drinks were mixed to perfection.

First and foremost a cocktail bar they do a solid range of highball cocktails (which were ok but mine was not amazing – a bit too diluted for my taste) but the Old Fashioned was excellent, Rye based and perfectly mixed. This is a bar well worth visiting and the music – largely Jazz is fantastic

It is well worth checking their websites as they often have big name DJs performing / mixing (including acts like Kyoto Jazz Massive) there but note this is not a dance club, its a get a drink and enjoy listening to the music cocktail bar. My type of bar – well done.
