Crispin started his career working with books and magazines and advertising in Australia, including Watermark Press, Stilletto, 3-World, he launched Culture Magazine in 1990, Leadership Digest in 2020 and Almanak in 2023.

His obsession with wine started with growing up in South Australia's McLaren Vale wine district, he continues to search for the ever elusive perfect wine.

Most of his stories are about wine, food and travel but he is always keen to meet and interview people with fascinating stories.
